How We Work

One standard. Every mile.
This is how we run.

01

"Yes" is where we start.

While others quote you a maybe, we're already planning the route. High value, oversized, time-critical, cross-border — if it can move on wheels, Trans Link moves it. Bring us the load nobody else wants to touch.

02

Our approach is simple.

Two drivers on every truck. GPS on every load. A dispatcher who picks up at 3 a.m. We don't promise excellence in a brochure — we run it, mile after mile, across Canada, the USA and Mexico.

03

People are our foundation.

Trans Link was built by two brothers who started behind the wheel. We know our drivers by name and our customers by their freight. When you call, you don't reach a call centre — you reach your team.

Our Footprint

Three terminals.
One network.

What a rate depends on

Lane and border
Where it loads, where it delivers, and whether the route crosses a border. A crossing adds customs paperwork and waiting time to the same mileage, so two runs of similar distance are not the same job.
Equipment
A dry van, a reefer holding a set temperature, a flatbed that has to be tarped and strapped, and a step deck for an over-height load are four different costs for the same weight. If you are not sure which you need, say so on the form and dispatch will tell you.
Weight and dimensions
Weight decides whether a load is legal on a standard trailer and how it has to be distributed. Anything over standard height, width or length moves the job toward permits, escorts and a routing survey, which have their own lead times.
Timing
A fixed delivery appointment, a run that needs team drivers to keep moving, and a load that can wait a day are priced differently. Tell us the constraint you actually have.
Commodity and value
What the freight is, and what it is worth, affect how it has to be secured, what cover applies and whether it should travel as a high-value load.
Fuel
Fuel is surcharged separately from the line haul, on the basis set out in the note on the request form, rather than being buried in the rate.

Already know the lane and the equipment you need? You can book a truck directly instead of asking for a rate first.

Transit times include border crossing. Team drivers run continuous transit (one rests while other drives). Solo drivers follow HOS regulations with mandatory rest breaks. Add 4-12 hours for high-traffic seasons or weather delays.

Don't see your lane? We probably run it.

If we're not already running your lane, we'll build it. Single-load or dedicated weekly — we can usually accommodate within 48 hours.
